The Condition Guide
Sealed, CIB, or loose — the tiered standard every game grade and price hangs on.
Sealed
Factory-wrapped, never opened. The highest tier — WATA and VGA grades matter most here, and sealed copies of classics have become blue-chip collectibles. Condition of the wrap, seams and box corners all count.
CIB — Complete in Box
Cartridge or disc, manual, and box — all original. The collector's standard for a 'complete' copy. Box condition and manual presence drive most of the value gap.
Loose / Cart only
The game itself, no extras. The most affordable way to play the classics — and the tier where condition and label wear separate a beater from a display piece.

Retro Price Index
Sold comps on any game — sealed, CIB or loose. The engine pulls real eBay and auction sales (including WATA-graded results), throws out junk and outliers, and returns a time-weighted median.
Retro Game Market
Cartridges, complete-in-box and sealed classics sourced live from the marketplace — NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, PlayStation and beyond.
Collection Portfolio
Track every cart, CIB and sealed game you own and watch the collection's value move — the same investor-grade portfolio the card side uses.
Collector Guides
Condition scales, storage, insurance and market basics — the same collector-first guides the card side uses.
Game Preservation Kit
Keep the collection museum-grade.
Contacts & cleaning
Isopropyl alcohol (70%+) and a cotton swab on cart contacts, always with the power off. A clean contact set fixes most 'dead cart' moments — no games lost.
Battery saves
Save batteries die after 10–15 years. Replace them before they leak — a leaking battery corrodes the board and turns a $200 cart into parts. Keep the save backed up first.
Disc & box care
Discs by the edge, never the surface; resurface only as a last resort. Boxes in protectors, upright, never stacked under weight.
Storage
Room temperature, steady humidity, zero sunlight. Carts upright in bins with dividers; sealed games in acrylic or at least bagged away from dust and moisture.
The Game Hub is an independent collector resource. Nintendo, Sony, Sega, Xbox, WATA, VGA and all related names and marks are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only.
